Exam Review

You will have 60 scantron objective questions and two essays, one full-length and the other one short (a fat paragraph).
Notice what I have posted below for you to use for study.  Also, be prepared for your essays with specific details for the American Dream essay, especially.

We are reading in PLAR up through and including chapter 18 this week.  We will take the last vocab quiz on Friday; you can get three extra points on this one, too.
Friday's homework due Monday is to read Chapter19.  We will review on Monday and Tues, next week, May 19th, there will be another reading quiz.

April 27 through the end of the Friday with me

We will be reviewing Peace Like a River and reading up through and including Chapter 6 by Thursday for a possible quiz.
I have given out numerous handouts as well as review each class.  Please use questions for the basis of thorough notes which will be collected when we finish the novel. It will definitely be worth 20-30 points.  

No vocab this week. We will start again next week.  Only one more vocab this year!

Keep working on vocab for the quiz on the 24th!
Monday, we did Peer Evaluations for your papers; if you were absent, you needed to show the rough to me as you came in the door for credit.
Tues- Introduction of Peace Like a River (PLAR); we read chapters 1 and 2...finish 2 for homework.
Weds- Vocab review, last one before the quiz. Review of Chapter 2 of PLAR. HW: finish your draft for Thursday. Read Chapter 3 for Thursday (Most can be done in class).
FRIDAY- a crazy day...Assembly; Vocab quiz. Read.... more to come.

Welcome back from Spring Break!

On Monday-we started a new vocabulary unit 9. We are also watching the much promised video The Great Gatsby. 
Tues- M-Step practice in the media center. I would take some time to practice this at home too.  See previous Google Site listing for logon information at home. 

HW: work on vocab and start considering your topic for TGG paper; thesis statement is due on Thurs IN CLASS at the start.

Weds- finish video; work on paper draft due on Monday, April 20th.

Thurs- laptops to work on paper

Fri- more time to work on paper due on Monday, April 20th; final due date will be Thurs, April 23, 2015.

Next week we begin the infamous M-Step, but you are READY! Go for it!

Sorry, I caught the flu so I was out Monday and Friday (last week).  We took the vocab quiz on Monday.
Any grades not in the gradebook will change to 0s by Weds evening.
I have been leading students through chapters 1-6 of The Great Gatsby. We will have a quiz on chapters 4-6 on Thursday.
Also, Thursday after the quiz, we will watch clip from the movie, too.
Friday- reading day for chapter 7.  We will discuss it on Monday.
Monday- Chapter 7 TGG
