We finally finished up all the presentations from our non-fiction books, and boy do I have posters to find a home for!  Great work, guys.
Since then we have started the wonderful drama, The Crucible, by Arthur Miller. We learned what the word for the title means, why Miller wrote the play to parallel McCarthy hearing of the 1950s with the 1692 Salem Witch Trials.
We took a quiz on Act 1 on Monday; then we proceeded to listen to the play on audio from our textbooks for Act II. We continued in this way through the act, ending with oral grades, or actually opportunities for getting out of taking part of a quiz if you answered the Study Guide questions thoroughly and volunteered and answered fully and correctly.

Wednesday- reviewed the Act II; oral grades. Quiz on Thurs
Thurs- see above and we will start Act III.  Study guide provided in class.
Friday- Act III and begin Study Questions if time allow; finish Act III if possible.
Part of the hour on Friday will be spent taking the Gallop Poll (about 20 mins)
