Monday, we discussed our ACT baselines papers.  I reviewed tips from a student who scored a 34 total and 12/12 on the writing portion of the ACT.  He really did give some strong tips for working on elaborating on specific reasons, and other information, like how to make sure you use effective transitions in your papers.  More to come on the ACT.
HW- read pps. 82-88 and in your notes, answer q's 1-4 on page 89.

Tues- review the above, and watch the Jamestown video. HW: Vocab and read 92-9 for homework; answer questions 1-4 on 100.  We will get to this on Thurs because I am using an online resource from the text on Wednesday, a video about Jamestown.  You can access this online at home as well as the text.
Do your last section of vocab too:>)

Weds- Vocab (review of last section); watched video of Jamestown from Holt database.

Thurs- Review of Smith's "History of Virginia" and possible quiz.

Friday- bring your non-fiction books to class for reading AFTER the vocab unit test.
