Thurs- quiz on Acts 1-2.; silent reading while people finish quiz of Act 3, scenes 1-2 with handout (below)
Friday- review of Thurs' work.
Monday- media center...for books for project

May 9- review chapters 4-7; start Clue, the video in 1 and 2; continue video after review in hours 5-6. KEEP READING TNO
Tues-May 10- Review 8-11; for homework read 12-17 for Weds and up through 25 by Thurs.  
I will give a quiz on 7-25 on Friday, May 13.  If you have read, it will not be hard. (Essay quiz will be makeup)
Wednesday will be a reading day with review on Thursday this week. 
Quiz on Friday 7-25

PS. I need to see each of your notes for 12 chapters using my handout for what to discuss. Please avoid Spark Notes for this because it really is easy to ascertain whether or not reading aides are used in most cases.  I want you to think on your own.:>)

Monday- study and read for test on Tues. (WE finished the video)
Tuesday- test on The Kite Runner. The test requires the whole hour, so plan a makeup time if you are out.
Wednesday- Intro to the genre of mystery. We read a 5 minute mystery in class and discussed what we like and see in mysteries.
I read the beginning of the novel to all; read chapters 1-3 for Thurs; possible quiz.
Thurs- We discussed the first three chapters in depth. Read 4-7 for Monday and 8-11 for Tues.
Friday- 5th and 6th watched the first hour of the movie, Clue.  Yes, it is based on the board game:>) I will review chapters due on Monday and start CLUE with morning classes. 

April 25-29 (see attached q's for 20-end)

Monday- students absent on Friday made up quizzes.  We reviewed chapters 20 and 21 HW: read 22-23 for Tues
Tuesday- review chapters 22-23; read 24-25 for Thurs
Wednesday- video
Thurs - review 24-25 and finish novel
Friday- finish and review. Video to follow either today or Monday to finish this unit. Test on Tues or Weds.(Objective and essay)

Monday- makeups for quiz 1-10 of The Kite Runner. We also answered and turned in this document posted below for a grade.
Keep reading 11-13 for Tues; I will discuss in class from your notes if we did not do it on Monday.
Tues- see above and read 14-18 for Thurs or Friday.  We will have a quiz after chapter 19.  
Wed is a designated reading day due to my Jury Duty.
Thurs - review chapters; read chapter 9.
Friday- more review and discussion. Quiz on chapter 11-19 on Friday or Monday, after review.
Stay on track because most of the points in this quarter relate to this novel.:>)
Monday will be a reading day! 20-22 by Tues.

Monday- review of chapter 7-of THE KITE RUNNER.
Tuesday- reading day for TKR; you have a 35 point quiz on Friday, so read at least up through chapter 10.
only meet with 1st and 2nd hour of English 12
Wednesday- reading day for English 12, 5th and 6th only
Thursday- review up through chapter 10PowerPoint of Afghanistan history, politically speaking...things continue to evolve even this week.
Friday- quiz on Chapters 1-10 of The Kite Runner; read chapters 11-13 by Monday. Amir is now in California.
